Welcome to The Podluck.
What is The Podluck?
The Podluck is a conversation podcast about the intersection of faith and culture for Korean-American Adventists living in North America.
Our goal is to mimic the conversations we have during potluck at our churches across the country and maybe introduce new topics and discussions to have during potluck.
Who Are These Guys?
What Do You Talk About?
The hosts of The Podluck are Jason Kim and Chris Chong.
Jason Kim is the Associate Director at the Kainos Project. Chris Chong is the Lead English Ministry Pastor at RoC Fellowship at the Oregon Central Korean SDA Church.
Jason and Chris’ friendship began years ago but solidified in the icy lands of Berrien Springs, Michigan where they studied at the Andrews Seminary together.
Over the years they have shared thoughts and conversations about culture, faith, the status of Christianity and our churches, and many other topics, both coherent and not. At the Podluck, they bring their friendship and shared passion of ministry to discuss how culture and faith intersects in our lives.
We try to mimic the conversations that take place at church potlucks around the country
Potlucks are a quintessential and essential part of any church, particularly the immigrant church. It’s at these potluck tables that conversations take place; from life updates, to talking about work, talking about faith, our kids, our struggles, the big events and the minutiae of life. We want to talk about the things you talk about!
We will have conversations about faith, our history, the future of church, and we’ll talk to you in the form of interviews. We hope that our podcast will reflect the conversations you have at your church potlucks, and maybe the conversations we have on the podcast will be reflected in the potluck tables at your local church.
